I totaly agree with Demon Bound, Demon Night, Wild Road, Cry Wolf, Pleasure Unbound, Mine to Possess (although I think I prefer Hostage to PLeasure) and Ink Exchange – out of these it’s a tie between Demon Bound and Ink Exchange for best paranormal of the year. The others I haven’t read yet but I own: Sea Witch, The Iron Hunt, Nightkeepers. I still have time to read them before the end of the year. Or do i?

We have very similar tastes! : )

Great list, Ciara! I’m curious… is the list in order?

Of those books from your list which I’ve read …. they’re in my top 13 list of 2008, too! And Acheron. Do you read Kenyon’s paranormals?

Of course, I haven’t yet read Demon Bound. It’s like a month to release date and I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t read it yet?! LOL

  3. Ciara Says:

Ana – READ SEA WITCH. It’s lovely – poetic style, protective hero, a splash of moonlight and magic. I liked MTP better than HTP, though I know I’m in the minority. I liked the change of having a human heroine. I loved Clay (did someone say protective hero?). The Iron Hunt also has poetic style, though I would have preferred less choppy sentences. There was no romance in it, and I prefer books with a little love. (all the love was in the novella HUNTERS KISS.)

Christine – It’s mostly in order. I’d probably switch THE WILD ROAD and ANY GIVEN DOOMSDAY. I’ve read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon except Acheron. It came out right at RWA national and I had two boxes of free books already….It’s on my list, I just haven’t bought it yet. I will! CJ hasn’t read DB yet either. I’ve staked my claim on Jake already. LOL.

  4. Christine Says:

I don’t know …. you might have to fight with Ana for Jake. She’s quite smitten from what I understand. ;)

I loved Acheron. Kenyon did a fantastic job with his story. I give it an A. :)

Oh! And I liked MtP better than HtP, too.

  5. Shannon Says:

Oooh, so many I need to read. I just finished Pleasure Unbound and CAN NOT wait for the next book. Have you read the excerpt on her website? ZOMG! Brilliant continuity (if she has done what I think she has done)!

You know my love of anything written by Patricia Briggs. Cry Wolf was fabulous!!!

I have a bunch of catching up to do with Meljean’s books. I have loved what I read so far by her. Such complex story lines!

  6. Ciara Says:

Shannon – I can’t wait for the next book by Larissa. I liked PU better than the Black Dagger Brotherhood, because the hero was someone I could fall in love with. Meljean’s books are ones you have to read in order and reread to make sure you remember all the unfolding mythology. lol. Her characters are some of the most unique, well-defined characters I’ve ever read.

  8. Ooohhh…you have some books on your list that I haven’t read yet. I’m going to have to add them to my list or at least make sure I get them soon.

Oh, by the way, I’ve nominated you for something – http://www.literaryescapism.com/2008/10/04/483/

Thanks for participating! I think it’ll take us three months to compile all these lists. ;)
