I’ll be there Monday, July 28 through Sunday, August 3.
Monday: Arrive in the evening. Check into hotel.
Tuesday: Sight-see? Network? Spend the day psyching myself up in front of the bathroom mirror in my hotel room?
Wednesday: First Annual Historical Romance Writers Conference presented by the Beau Monde and Hearts Through History RWA chapters. Looking forward to seeing fellow aspiring author Keira Soleore there!
A Full Day of Workshops spanning Ancient Rome to Victorian England, Breakfast, Luncheon, High Tea, Souvenirs and Silent Auction.

I’ll be stealing away from the conference for lunch with regency author Jenna Petersen.
In the evening is the fundraiser “Readers for Life” LITERARY BOOKSIGNING, the event I’m most looking forward to, with 450 romance authors. Ciara, that sounds like a fabulous itinerary! I’m sure you’re going to have tons of fun meeting friends, making friends, networking, and learning lots of great things that will help your writing career. I’m excited for you! :D (I wish I were on your list of blogger friends to meet! :( )
I suggest that once you see the list of authors attending the literary signing, that you prioritize who you wish to meet. I went to the NJ RWA literary signing in Fall 2007 at which there were about 100 authors and I barely had time to meet 15 in an hour and a half. You’ll have to narrow down your selection out of 450 authors!!! Oh my!

Yeee Haawww!! I look forward to seeing you there!!

Ciara-I’m also super jealous! :( One of these days! *crosses fingers*
I’d just love to meet authors & get autographs. There are a few for certain (Nora, Colleen Gleason, etc. etc. etc.) If you meet any of them, say hi for me. :D

Don’t forget the FREE book giveaways at the various publishing house signings (usually Thursday and Friday). Not so crowded because it is only for paid conference participants (not the public) and oodles of free books with authors there happily signing and chatting. I got an ARC of Mine Until Midnight there last year months before it was published.
