If you like the Black Dagger Brotherhood…

Join with me now: “Hello my name is [name], and I’m addicted to J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood.”

Welcome!

While you wait for Lover Enshrined to come out, here are 13 other book recommendations for Black Dagger Brotherhood crack addicts.

There is a difference between Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy: Paranormal Romance must have a main love story with a satisfying Happily-Ever-After for the hero and heroine. Urban Fantasy does not. BDB falls in the former, so I have NOT included Urban Fantasy in this list (even thought Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series is teh awesome). The recommendations all contain the things we love about BDB: Alpha heroes, love-true-love, and fabulous world building.

Rec’s for BDB Addicts:

  1. Guardian series by Meljean Brook
  2. Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole
  3. Midnight Desire by Emma Holly
  4. On the Prowl anthology by Patricia Briggs, Eileen Wilks, and Karen Chance
  5. Hot Spell anthology by Emma Holly, Shiloh Walker, and Meljean Brook
  6. Dirk & Steele series by Marjorie M. Liu
  7. Tairen Soul series by C.L. Wilson
  8. Darkness Chosen series by Christina Dodd
  9. Midnight Breeds series by Lara Adrian
  10. Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon
  11. Paladins of Darkness series by Alexis Morgan
  12. Nightwalker series by Jacqueline Franks
  13. Psy-Changelings series by Nalini Singh (which I haven’t read but have heard great things)

Do you have any other recommendations?

  1. dkristiej Says:

*hand up* I have a good series rec – The Sons of Destiny series by Jean Johnson. Mind you they aren’t that dark – but I think they fit your other requirements.

  2. MaryKate Says:

    Wha????

How is it possible that I haven’t pimped the heck out of Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series to you?? You really must (I’m afraid I’ll have to insist) get on that. I defy you not to fall in love with Lucas Hunter from Slave to Sensation??

I’ll also give a very strong recommendation to Lara Adrian. Yes, I hear over and over again that her books are too similar to Ward’s. Here’s my thing, Adrian has a mythology that she *sticks* to. It’s refreshing.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the crack, and I read the crack, and I’ve already been to a couple of bookstores hoping the crack was shelved early. But Ward doesn’t always do a good job of sticking to her mythology. Adrian does. Plus, her heroes are yummy!

  3. Drea Says:

I’d ditto the Lara Adrian recommendation. Misses the level and mark of the oh so sweet high of the BDB, but a great filler nontheless! By the 2nd book I was down and and in love with her heros, especially Rio. He haunts my thoughts almost as much as Wrath and Zadist…..Ummm, does it sound like I need rehab?

  4. Shannon Says:

Oooh. Good rec’s. I have to say, though. On the Prowl is not so great as a whole. Absolutely read the Patricia Briggs story, but the rest… they did nothing for me. The last story was a DNF.

  5. ciaralira Says:

MaryKate – I put both on the list didn’t I? I know I need to read NS books after the DIK party. They are in my TBR pile.

Shannon – On the Prowl is how I discovered Patricia Briggs, so I owe it a debt of enormous gratitude. I also enjoyed Eileen Wilks and Karen Chance’s short stories. Both of those stories might have been more cohesive as full-length novels, but they successfully demonstrated the authors talent enough to make me want to read more. And that is the purpose of an anthology in my humble opinion. I pick up one because I know the name of one of the authors, Meljean Brook in Hot Spell for example, and I end up discovering more similar authors who I enjoy, like Emma Holly. I can forgive the included stories that don’t work for me because I only picked up the book to begin with for that one novella by that one author. If others are good, it’s an extra bonus. (I did not read past the first two pages in Sunny’s story. It did NOT work for me. Which is why I didn’t include her name on the list above.)

  6. Brandon Says:

Just wanted to say hello and I’ve read all the Dark Hunter Series as well as The Black Dagger Brotherhood. All of them rock. I love BDB by far though. All of the characters are fun and have great attitude. Keep em coming J.R. Ward.

  7. Brenda Says:

Lynn Veihl is almost as good as BDB… i have enjoyed the series of the Darkyn can’t wait for the new one to come out..

  8. ciaralira Says:

    Thanks for the rec Brenda!

  9. Ciara Says:

YOU HAVE TO READ “PLEASURE UNBOUND” by Larissa Ione if you like the BDB. It is fabulous!

  10. Dorothea Says:

BDB are the best. I can`t wait till october. I definetly need rehab, for beeing in love with the boys of J.R.Ward. The breed warriors of Lara Adrian are loveable too. I hope there will be many many more books of both writers.

  11. Dorothea Says:

Thanks for recommending the larissa Ione book. As allways I hooked up with the bad boy ,wraith this time (wrath? wraith? drake? dragos? what? only a coincidence that those names are used so often?) It realy was fun to read, but again there is the long wait for the next one. Or should I try Lynne Veihl????

  12. Kim Says:

I have read the Lynne Veihl book series and it is pretty good. It kept me turning pages and looking forward to the next book. She really only brings her first two characters (Alexandra and Michael) through the series with some mention of the other characters you meet as you read through. What I LOVE about JR Ward is that you get updates on ALL of the brothers in EVERY book. I am DEFINITELY looking forward to the next book where JL Ward will feature Rhevenge!!

  13. Linda Says:

I’m on the second book of Lynn Viehls and I just can’t really get into them. So far I like Jacquelyn Franks Nightwalkers pretty well even if they are demons rather than vamps. I will certainly try all the ones that have been suggested here. I read waaay too much, lol.

  14. Sandy Says:

Love the BDB – my favorite is Zsadist. I love a good rescue! But I can’t believe that the Dark Series by Christine Feehan is not on your list! 18 books so far, but book 2 is my absolute favorite: Dark Desire. They are fabulous!

  15. Linda Says:

Hi All I am trying your recommendations as quickly as possible, so please keep them coming. Anyone try Christine Feehan? I heard her Dark series is great.

    • Megan Says:

Her Dark Series is fabulous. I haven’t tried the other though…But definitely read the Dark series.

  16. Karen Says:

HELLOOO!!!! Karen Marie Moning and her highlander series….her books are not as linked as J.R.’s but they are great! check ‘em out!

  17. Jen Says:

Thanks for this list. I’m a new reader of the BDB books, and I’m officially hooked. I’m glad there are other books out there for me to try while I wait for new installments.

  18. Ciara Says:

I have also just discovered another series for BBD lovers:

Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld

  19. Cyan Says:

Lords of the underworld is brilliant and the sherrilyn kenyon series is a must and it’ll give you plenty to read since there’s 13 books now and she’s just started a dream hunter series as well. I cannot wait for the next book in the brotherhood series it needs to be published like now!

  20. Cyan Says:

Oh and guys check out kresley coles immortal after dark series she’s created a whole world of vampires demons and werewolves and other creatures but she’s really pulled it off it’s a really good series

  21. VampOnHu Says:

To get over the Sookie Stackhouse Series I started reading The Black Dagger Brotherhood series I can’t sleep without wishing to meet a man like the ones in the books I have been reading. I feel like I need Rehab in the worse way. they are so good I laughed I got Hot and I cried they are so good

  22. Suze Says:

Thanks for the ideas – I have read and loved them all (except Patricia Briggs, can’t get into the series at all). Anyone looking for more suggestions? Try Robin T Popp’s Night Slayer Series and Angela Knight’s Mageverse and Time Hunters books. Hope you enjoy them:-)

  23. Cindy Says:

Oh my gosh! I loved the Sookie Stackhouse series and was so upset when I read the last book of the series (until the next one is available.) Then I found Anita Blake Vampire Hunter and fell in love all over again. I’ve gotten through her series too. Now what am I going to do? I was turned on to BDB and have lost my mind. These guys are just out of this world. I’m just like Suze, I think about them all the time. I’m currently on book 3. Also picked up J. Frank series, Laurell K Hamilton’s Merry Gentry series, Gena Showalters Lords of the Underworld. I just can’t get enough. Another great series I just completed is Keri Arthur’s Riley Jenson series. I’m so glad I came across this site. Thanks for the addition recommendations for great reads. I always worry that I’m going to run out.

  24. Kat Says:

Hi there-thank you so much for the list! I hadn’t found some of these yet. BBD is a great series and finding books while waiting for more can be challenging! I have found a few good series to recomend
Christine Feehan-Her Carpathian series is amazing and her Ghostwalker series. Sherilyn Kenyon, Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole are the other authors I make sure that I catch the new books when they come out!

  25. Margaret Says:

Hi, thanks for the list – your a lifesaver really!
I just read all the BDB books in a week and have now gone into SERIOUS withdrawal. Hopefully this list of books will keep me sane until Revhenge’s story is released in April.
I’d like to also recommend Alyssa Day’s Warriors of Posseidon series – alpha males with attitude and lots of love!!
    Thanks again

  26. Kerri Says:

Thanks for the suggestions. I read the BDB books after reading the Twilight series. I am in love with the brothers and can’t wait for Revhenge’s story. I have never been a big reader but I couldn’t put these books down. Love them

  27. YVETTE Says:

i cant belive so many people have read and like alot of the same books ive read and loved. ive read books by all the following authors,jr ward, gena showalter, kresley cole, carolyn jewel, sherrilyn keynon, lara adrian, and larrisa ione. all these have been great reads. if any one has any further recommendations i would love to hear them.

  28. Vicki Says:

I LOVE THE BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD!!!!!! The second series that I read was Lara Adrian’s books. They were a second to JR Ward. The BDB books will always be my favorite and I will always compare the next read to them. I cannot wait for April for the 7th book. Thanks for all of the recommendations.

  29. Bata Says:

Well, although I’m not sure if the Witch of Cologne counts, I still think it’s a good story.

Also, if there are any BDB fans out there who like to roleplay, check this site out:
    http://riatsu.proboards.com/index.cgi

  30. Missy Says:

I have read all the BDB novels and can’t wait for the 7th one to get here while waiting I would really recomend Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter series. I started with the last one first (I did’t know) but then I had to get the rest. You can’t help but cheer for the good guys. Thanks fo the suggestions on the other novels.

  31. kara Says:

Thank you so much for this website!!!!

I also like anne bishop- The Black Jewels Trilogy and The Landscapes of Ephemera “Sebastian” rocks!!

I only liked L K Hamiltons , merry gentry series the fairies are hot and i hate fairy books.

    http://www.laurellkhamilton.org/Merry/DualimageflipMerry2c.html

  32. mimi Says:

Hi, I just recently got into paranormals.I just love ward and Iones, kenyon and showalter!!! I wish there were authors like them :) I dont no why Christine feehan books are not doing it for me :( Is Nalini Singh good?

  33. Ciara Says:

Mimi – Nalini Singh ROCKS. I’d also recommend checking out the Paranormal Romance DABWAHA nominees, cuz they’re all great. http://www.dabwaha.com

  34. Lise Says:

The beauty of the BDB is the strength of its characters and yet there is such subtlety in the writing, for such high intensity, sexual content it has a beauty to it, not an exploitive feel. I am passionately in love with LKH’s Anitaverse but there’s something extremely addictive with the BDB, the males are soooo masculine, hot and incredible. Oh mein gott to be sexual with them….give me an ice bath, phew! I’ve never been so wanting of these guys (esp V/B), well except JC in LKH’s books. Ciara and other gals thanks for the recommendations. Hugs, Lise x

  35. Joline Says:

I am completely obsessed with the black dagger series. I was looking for something more adult after reading the twilight series (which i am very obsessed with too) and came across BDB. I tried to get into Christine Feehan (dark series)…I just couldn’t she was so repetitive and made me not care what so ever for the characters. I really tried to get into them but grew so bored of how much their romance was just boring. I also tried the Demonica series and found that one just as boring and i was not attracted to any of the characters nor cared for the story. I hope these recommendations are as great of a romance, lust, passion and of course a tease as the twilight and black dagger series.

P.S. I have to say zsadist has become my fave. I love all the brothers but crave a challenge and dark man ; )

  36. wendy Says:

real bodice rippers and so hot…Karen chance’s Cassandera palmer series…….touch the dark, Claimed by shadow and embrace the night pluse a new one out in April I am not sure if its happily ever after yet cuz the story continues. First book was a litle hard to get started and alittle confusing then I got hooked. If you like BDB you will like these for sure

  37. Wendymac Says:

All of these authors books are “drool worthy”! It is hard to pick a fave – BDB, Carpathians or Dark Hunter? Hmmm! Another author to try is Lora Leigh’s Breed Series – Not to be confused with Lara Adrian’s Breeds!

  38. MandyDoc Says:

Hi Everyone! I am excited to look into everyone’s recommendations. After reading the Twilight Saga I went through series after series quite quickly. I was so excited to find the BDB series and brake out of the young adult vampire genre that Twilight pulls you into. I have to say that Zsadist’s book was my fav thus far as well. Ward has done an amazing job developing the characters and drawing us all in. I cant wait until April 28th. Thanks for all the insight!

  39. YVETTE Says:

HAS ANYONE READ SHILOH WALKER AND MELJEAN BROOKS’ BOOKS? ARE THE SERIES ANY GOOD?

  40. mimi Says:

Another good series is the allysa day’s series ( poseidon warriors)… they are good.

Speaking of Larissa Ione.. I loved it ,I hope she continues with her series…

  41. Allie Says:

    Hi all!
The BDB is an awesome series! I’ve read all the books and have fallen in love with all of the characters. Although, I truly want to know what’s going to happen with Xhex and John Matthew!
I’m excited to see that there are other series on here that are similar to the BDB. Thank you everyone for you suggestions!
These are not similar to the BDB but more to Twilight….
    P.C.Cast & Kristen Cast
    Night World series – 1, 2, and 3
    Alyson Noel – Immortal series
    Christine Warren – “One bite with a stranger” – a lil risque…

  42. Janice Says:

Loved all the BDB except Rev. It just wasn’t as good for me. Can’t wait to hear more abut Thor and John

  43. Vannessa Says:

OMG… BDB boyz rock my world!!Yes hello my name is Vannessa and im a BDB addict. The raw sexiness of these books keep me wanting, craving, neeeeeding!! I love V’s talents and Rhage’s arrogance in and out of the bedroom.. I searched the bookshelves aimlessly worried I wont have anything to read in the long await for Rhevenge. Thank you for all your suggestions, you dont know how much I appreciate it.

  44. Nia Says:

Hey You guys . Ive read every book by JR Ward and i absolutely love them. She is an incredible writer and im just addicted to Zsadist. Another writer that is not well known but really good is jeaniene frost. Her Night huntress series is to die for. You will fall in love with bones. Try it.

  45. Jo Says:

I heard that Ward’s going to do a new series about Fallen angels on Harleys. The title is Covet: A novel of the Fallen Angels it would be out by September.

    check it out
    http://jrwardbdb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24341

  46. Kim Says:

I second Nia’s recommendation about the Night Huntress Series. The books are great! Bones is OH SO YUMMY – The characters are well developped and you will be addicted to this series for sure. There are 4 books out so far.

  47. Stacey G. Says:

Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter and the Demonica series by Larissa Ione. Both fantastic!

  48. Kari Says:

Of course, the BDB is brilliant, but I have to back up the Kresely Cole rec. Her characters appear repeatedly throughout each book which I enjoy, but I also like the variety: vampires, valkyries, witches, demons, and werewolves. She never fails to keep me riveted. I’d also suggest Adrian; her heroes are very sexy, and the heroines are strong and capable.
I didn’t see Twilight on anyone’s post, but it’s not just for adolescents. I’m 34, and I love the vampires Meyer has created.
Thanks for the Showalter recs. I’m planning to try her next!

  49. Lisa Says:

OMG! i have read almost all of the books above :( what am i to do? no one here (that i seen) mentioned
alexandra ivy’s guardians of eternity series. They are awesome! and her vamps are smokin’ hot. but whatever you do you MUST get through the first book. i was alomst fustrated but continued to read it becasue i had bought all of the books in the series and wow was i not disapointed! TRUST ME….they are great.

  50. Cindy Says:

I love PNR, hands down, can’t be out done. I recommend the following as well but I must warn you these are adult steamy reads. Kate Douglas’s Wolf Tales Series, Lora Leigh’s Breeds Series, Jacqeline Franks’s Shadowdwellers Series, Joey W. Hill’s Vampire Series (The Vampire Queen’s Servant, Mark of the Vampire Queen, A Vampire’s Claim, and Beloved Vampire,) Adrian Phoenix’s A Rush of Wings and In the Blood, Lynsay Sand’s Argeneau Series, and Kerrelyn Sparks Vampire Series. All great reads!

  51. YVETTE Says:

if your into steamy books, look into shilo walkers the hunters series. book 1 is the best hands down but all are good reads.

  52. Cindy Says:

    Yvette…
I have looked at them but not gotten around to reading them. It’s a series, can you give the order in which to read?

  53. YVETTE Says:

    HEY CINDY,
YES, THIS IS A SERIES, BEST READ IN THIS ORDER.
HUNTERS: THE BEGINING (BOOK 1& 2):-)
    HUNTERS: INTERLUDE (BOOK 3 & 4)
    BEN & SHADOE (BOOK 5)
    RALPH & SHELIA (BOOK 6)
HUNTERS: HEART AND SOULS (BOOK 8 & 9):-)
    HUNTING THE HUNTER (BOOK 7)
    HUNTERS SALVATION (BOOK 10)
BOOK 7 & 10 CAN BE READ AS STAND ALONE BOOKS, BUT ARE ALSO GOOD.
THROUGH THE VIEL IS NOT IN THIS SERIES, ALSO BY SHILOH WALKER, AND ALSO A EXCELLENT READ.
THE ONES WITH HAPPY FACES ARE MY FAV. BUT AS I SAID ALL ARE GOOD. HAPPY READING!

    • Cindy Says:

Yvette…Thanks so much for taking the time to put this list together for me. I’ll let you know how I like them.
Are you a member of Goodreads.com? Free and a great place to find people who like the same books you do and can check their book lists and get recommendations on the site.
      Thanks again.

  54. YVETTE Says:

    HEY CINDY,
YOUR WELCOME. I AM A MEMBER OF GOODREADS.COM BUT NEVER REALLY GET ON THAT SITE, I’LL HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT. I HAD A QUESTION, WHAT DOES PNR STAND FOR? I READ AND EMAIL YOU SENT AND YOU LISTED THIS SERIES AND A FEW OTHERS I’VE SEEN AND HAVENT READ. KATE DOUGLAS I WILL LOOK INTO FOR SURE. I READ A SHORT STORY BY LORA LEIGH IN THE BREED SERIES AND I LIKED IT. I’VE READ J. FRANKS FIRST TWO BOOKS IN THE NIGHWALKER SIERES. THEY WERE OK, TAKES TO LONG TO GET TO THE GOOD STUFF. IS THE SHADOWDWELLERS SERIES THE SAME? LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE.
    THANKS, YVETTE :-)

  55. Cindy Says:

    PNR…Paranormal Romance

  56. Marie Says:

I have to 3rd the recommendation of Nia and Kim of the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. I read all four books in about 6 days. My first vampire introduction was Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Series and I was immediately in love with Edward. I have to say that after reading Frost’s Cat and Bones there is no question as to who is better. I must prefer Cat and Bones to Bella and Edward. Cat is a strong character and works along side of Bones which is 360 from Bella.

Frost’s books are entertaining, page turning, funny and sexual.

Now I just need to find another series to get in to.

  57. Vicki 2 Says:

I also LOVE the Brotherhood and after reading Twilight and Sookie Stackhouse didnt think I would find another series that I would.
I see from your list there are lots more that I would like to sink my teeth into. are these books listed in order from most favorite? I am just not sure what to start with and seems like everyone has their own fav’s :)

  58. Paula Says:

“Hello my name is Paula, and I’m addicted to J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood.” (*did a cut-and-paste there*). And I mean SERIOUSLY addicted!
I read them all one after the other!! Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau series is also great, as is Lara Adrian’s Midnight series. Just started with Kerrelyn Sparks’Love at stake series. I dig the dark brooding type of vampire males (*blushes*)…I’ve looked up most of the recs above, but found them not quite like BDB, especially the lycan-type didn’t grasp me that much. Pity though. Keep the recs comin’ though, thank you all very much!!
    xx

  59. Cindy Says:

Paula…I am so sure that if you read Lora Leigh’s The Breeds series you would change your mind about shifters. The stories are so heart wrenching and moving, not to mention the steamy sex scenes. Try just one you won’t be sorry.

  60. Vicki 2 Says:

are “the breeds” and “the feline breeds” the same series? I really want to read the series you are talking about but getting confused when looking them up?? thanks!

  61. Cindy Says:

The series is long one and it has feline, wolf and coyote breeds. Here’s the reading order. You’ll most likely have to order the first five from Amazon.com
Tempting the Beast, The Man Within, Elizabeth’s Wolf, Kiss of Heat, Soul Deep, The Breed Next Door (Hotspell), Megan’s Mark, Harmony’s Way, Tanner’s Scheme, Wolfe’s Hope, Jacob’s Faith, Aiden’s Charity, In a Wolf’s Embrace (Beyond the Dark), Dawn’s Awakening, A Jaguar’s Kiss (Shifter), Mercury’s War, Christmas Heat (Magical Christmas Cat), Coyote’s Mate, Bengal’s Heart and Lion’s Heat (out the end of the year.)
You won’t be sorry, these are great reads. You can go to Lora Leigh’s website for more information
    Happy Reading

  62. Rachel Says:

I read Twilight & was hooked. Trying to fill the void I discovered BDB.. & OMG.. They r the best! My favourite Brothers r Rhage & Zsadist. But I love them all. I wish now that I had read more YA series as I also enjoyed House of Night & Vampire Academy.. But theres no going back now! The brotherhood make Edward seem like a little boy. :) I’ve just started the Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series. Its gr8, although the BDB withdrawals remain. I am a member of goodreads.com but only have net on my mobile & can’t post reviews. :( 0h and ‘Lover Avenged’ doesnt come out in Australia til 1st Dec. So I’m getting it online. Can’t wait..

  63. YVETTE Says:

    RACHEL,
I DID THE SAME THING YOU DID. I READ THE TWILIGHT SERIES AND THEN GOT TURNED ON TO BDB. I REALLY ENJOYED KRESLEY COLES, IMMORTAL AFTER DARK SERIES, NALINI SINGH, PSY/CHANGELING SERIES, AND GENA SHOWALTERS, LORDS OF THE UNDERWORLD. LARA ADRIANS SERIES IS SIMILAR TO BDB, SO FOR SURE YOU’LL LIKE THEM, THEY ARE ALSO ABOUT VAMPIERES.

  64. JeanE Says:

Hello, my name is Jean and I’m hooked on the Black Dagger Brotherhood!! I started with Lara Adrian but after reading JR Ward, it paled in comparison and I couldn’t get back into those books. I also really love Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series, they are very good but I’ve even run out of her so I’m now reading and enjoying Gena Showalter’s various series, Alien Huntress and Lords or Atlantis. They are all very well written with alot of hot steamy sex and humor! But JR Ward’s books are still my favorite and I’m longing for a new one. I didn’t care for Covet, her new Fallen Angel book that much which really surpised me. I guess I do need my vampires and not just any paranormal stuff.

  65. Vicki 2 Says:

Yep, Yep, Yep I must agree with some of you girls here that BONES AND CAT are the best!!! I strongly suggest you read them if you havent yet, I just finished the 4 first books and cant stop thinking about them! right up there with Edward, Bella and the Brothers! the nice thing about this series is the storie continues along with each new book! they are a must read!!!

  66. Paula Says:

Hi @ Vicki 2: what’s BONES AND CAT?

    Still suffering withdrawal of BDB…….

  67. Cindy Says:

Bones & Cat are Jeaniene Frost’s series: Night Huntress Novels: Halfway to the Grave, One Foot in the Grave, At Graves End and Destined for an Early Grave. Great, Great series. If you love vampire series that carries the characters throughout the series try Alexandra Ivy’s Guardians of Eternity series: When Darkness Comes, Embrace the Darkness, Darkess Everlasting, Darkness Revealed and Darkness Unleashed (11-3-09). You’ll love the series. Keri Arthur’s Riley Jensen series great too; Riley the main character is part vampire and part werewolf and she is fab: Full Moon Rising, Kissing Sin, Tempting Evil, Dangerous Games, Embraced by Darkness, The Darkest Kiss and Bound to Shadows. There are so many more I can recommend, Angela Cameron’s Blood and Sex series, Joey W. Hill’s vampire series, Sherri L. King’s Fetish, Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires, Adrian Phoenix’s The Maker’s Song Series. Happy reading to All.

  68. Paula Says:

Thanx a lot for all the above listed recs!

  69. Cindy Says:

I love sharing with people who enjoy paranormal romance as much as I do. I am addicted to it, can’t get enough of it. So I am always researching or spending countless hours at the book store looking over books.
Thank you for letting me know you appreciate my sharing.

  70. Paula Says:

Don’t remember seeing Michele Bardsley’s Broken Heart series. Not as dark, but funny as hell!! (at least I think so). My vampire addiction actually started with her books….
Keep on sharing Cindy! I certainly appreciate it!! :)

  71. Missie J Says:

Hi everyone, I need to confess that I am a BDB addict and I am absolutly biting my nails til the next book. Until then I have a few fav’s that I think would tide you over.
    1. Dark-Hunter series by Serrilyn Kenyon
    2. Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian
    3. Dark Ones series by Katie MacAlister (really funny)
    4. Drake Sisters series by Christine Feehan
    5. Ghost Walker series by Christine Feehan
    6. Sookie Stakhouse series by Charlaine harris

I love these book series and I have every book in print in my Library. I love these books because the stories keep going just like in BDB. But NOTHING beats the crack….ok But these will help.

  72. Cindy Says:

Go J.R. Ward’s website to get a look at the cover of Lover Mine, its’ sooooo HOT!
